Bionesia Program
Research
Despite the magnitude and importance of Indonesian biodiversity, the international scientific community has focused its attentions elsewhere.

In the midst of global challenges to conserve biodiversity, biodiversity programs play an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance and protecting endangered species. To ensure the success of these programs, strong capacity building efforts are needed.
Capacity building is the process of developing and strengthening the capacity of individuals, groups and institutions to face various challenges in implementing biodiversity programs. Through capacity building, stakeholders such as researchers, field officers, government officials and local communities will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to play an active role in protecting biodiversity.
The capacity building narrative for the biodiversity program begins with an in-depth understanding of the importance of nature conservation for the survival of our planet. With strong capacities, experts and practitioners of biodiversity can conduct more in-depth and effective research, find innovative solutions in natural resource management, and practice sustainable conservation techniques.
